Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse (3-Ingredient Nutella Mousse)

Ingredients

  • 2 medium ripe bananas (please see notes below)
  • 2 Tablespoons hazelnut chocolate spread (e.g. Nutella) or hazelnut butter more to taste
  • 3 Tablespoons cacao powder

And the optional toppings

  • vegan whipped cream (optional); use yogurt as a healthier alternative
  • 1 Tablespoon hazelnuts chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Blend all the ingredients in a small high-powered blender until the mixture is perfectly smooth, anywhere between 30–60 seconds (depending on the power of your blender).
    If using a larger blender, double or triple the recipe to ensure a smooth blend.
  • Pour the mousse into two (or more) transparent serving cups and refrigerate for at least 45 minutes to firm up the texture. The mousse should thicken and develop a soft, airy texture as it chills.
  • Add the whipped cream on top if using. Then sprinkle some of the optional chopped hazelnuts as a garnish. Enjoy your hazelnut mousse!
